SARPY COUNTY SAFETY PROGRAM
The Sarpy County Safety Program provides the following education programs
under the direction of the Sarpy County Safety Board of Directors.
4-HOUR OR 8-HOUR STOP CLASS – TRAFFIC TICKET DISMISSAL CLASS
The 4-Hour or 8-Hour STOP Class (Safety Training Option Program) is available to persons who receive a traffic citation in Sarpy County and wish to have their citation dismissed. Eligibility for the 4-Hour or 8-Hour class is determined by the violation listed on your citation.
Advantages of taking the class include:
- Only pay for class, don’t pay the fine or court costs on your citation
- No court appearance
- No conviction or points on your driver’s license
- Improve your driving skills

8 HOUR DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE (8 HOUR DDC)– DMV APPROVED CLASS
The 8 Hour Defensive Driving Course is certified by the Nebraska DMV to meet the requirements for:
- License Reinstatement
- Under Age 21 Six (6) Point Accumulation
- Employment Driving Permit
- Two (2) point credit to your driving record

MOTORCYCLE SAFETY TRAINING - LEARN TO RIDE A MOTORCYCLE
Nebraska Motorcycle Safety Training, a division of the Sarpy County Safety Program, has adopted the following courses, sanctioned by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation:
- Basic Rider Course (BRC)
- Basic Rider Course 2 (BRC2)
- Returning Rider Basic Rider Couse (RRBRC)
- 3-Wheel Basic Rider Course (3WBRC)
- Introductory Motorcycle Experience (IME).
